How are you doing Ms Bridgez?

Doing good…

Did you know that Tommy Trouble from Equilibrium Sound was the first one to introduce me to your music?

No, I will have to big him up on that one.

You recently released the video for On Fire, who directed it?

It was directed by Robin Chin, I knew him from school days.  I thought he would bring the song to the screen well because he’s a great listener and he came up with great ideas.

We know you are a singer, but you seem to be doing some DJing on a few tracks.

Yeah [Laughs] I listen to all different types of music. I love Diana King, Nadine Sutherland, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Silk, The Jets, Coldplay, Tessanne Chin, Tami Chynn Cherine Anderson, Mariah Carey, Bounty Killa, Sean Paul,  Mavado, Vybz Kartel and whole heap more. I listen to all types of music so eventually versatility would come out.  I got into doing some of the dancehall ting since I had started working with Snowcone on a song that him and I did called “So Fine”, he released off his compilation album “Reggae Dancehall Nature”.  I did a little djing before but I had a little fear because it is not really what people are used to from me but it’s in me.

It sounds nice!

Thank you.

This recent video is one of a few for you.  Some artistes may not embrace music videos as much as they should.  What are your thoughts on that?

Well there are all kind of different ways to promote your music and I feel like music videos helps a lot. It’s a subconscious thing, when you hear the song on the radio you naturally remember the video and that’s what plays with people subconscious-the constant rotation and visual.

Do you have input on the video treatment?

Yes, I co-directed the video for “Take my breath away”.  That video took 24 hrs.  It was a long day.

I can imagine! [Laughs]  I know that you have had some tracks produced by Jah Snowcone.  In what capacity do you continue to work with him?

I still work with Jah Snowcone, we have a couple projects working on together for the summer, That’s my producer and friend for life, he tought me a lot and he has learnt a lot from me too so we work well together.

Are you working with any other producers?

I am currently working with FLAVA of No Doubt Records. He produced the song with Lukie D and I, titled “Come on home” on the Sweet Riddim.  Flava is a young producer with a lot of talent. I’m also working with Fire Buju (Fire Links Bro), Enrapture Productions, Supa Hype, Sly and Robbie, Brooklyn News and more….I work with anyone who works with me

What part of Jamaica do you spend most of your time?

I live in Kingston Jamaica so must of my time is spent in Kingston because it is the best place to do reggae music but when I want to take a break from it all I go to Ochi, Negril or Clarendon-yeah, those are my spots where I write a lot of my songs.

Who has been your favorite artiste to work with?

Tanto Metro & Devonte, the energy in the studio was crazy.  They made it a lot of fun to work that day.

Which song?

It is on the Cheerful Riddim produced by Jah Snowcone and is titled “How you like it”.

What are you doing most when not doing music?

Campaigning my music. [Laughs] My life is revolved around music, so if I am not writing or campaigning my own music, I’m blasting other people music in my ears-whether I’m partying, chilling with friends, I’m always listening to music.

What is the most surprising aspect of the business?

The most surprising aspect in the business is how far your music can go. Sometimes I get emails and messages on my social sites from people all over the world that I never knew had or even heard my songs. It surprises me all the time…

Who does your booking?

Digital One Booking in Miami

Where do you see yourself in five years?

This might sound cliché but Sky’s the Limit! I want the whole world to know my name and my music. Whether they Love it or Hate it they, KNOW IT!

Do you have any Shout outs?

Yeah, I have to shout out to all the HATERS you motivate me so much just by taking time out of your day to say you don’t like my work shows me y’all paying attention and to the fans you motivate me even more, Thanks for all the support! Bless!
