DancehallSoca.com recently caught up with Jalena from BVI to see what the vixen was up to lately.

Jalena statement: Im currently in the process of writing my first solo album for tentative release in the first quarter of 2010. Im doing something different this time around as this album will not consist of any soca music. I would call it a fusion of R&B/Pop/Rock. Most of the album will be produced by A.J. Ventura, founder and owner of Xtaushun band out of St Croix, and written by myself. There will be 1 or 2 collaborations, however, the details are still up in the air. With this album, I plan on having every single i release accompanied by a music video.

For my soca lovers, I plan on releasing an all-soca album in the summer of 2010. There will be a soca release in the coming weeks that is geared towards St Croix carnival. For more up to the minute updates, people can follow me on Twitter at Twitter.com/jalenarocks !! Thanks so much for all the support thus far!!!
