DancehallSoca.com was behind the scenes for the video shoot for “Don’t call my phone” by Jadine in New York City.
The Jadine video shoot was an event not to miss. Some of Soca’s brightest stars were in the building, such as Ragga, Dlife of Hot 97, Cameron of Blackroots management who represent artist Maddzart, Jamesy P and Lamman Rucker who played Jill Scott’s love interest in the movie “Why Did I Get Married.” The impressive stylish outfits for the set were done by stylist Chance Morrison of HavPlenty26 Group.
Ragga who produced and wrote hits such as “Miss Lady” And “up in dey” had a lot to say about the fusion of Dancehall and Soca music. It was then clear that this journey that started a couple hours ago would evolve into an important thing within the Caribbean music industry. Caribbean music is growing by leaps and bound.
The impressive Rhona Fox directed the video. Rhona is the owner of the public relations company Rhona Fox, Inc. Her clients include Assassin, Shaggy, and a list of who is who in Caribbean Entertainment. The more direction that Rhona provided, the more the energy exploded. We were later joined by the Active Dancers who showcase some slick foot movements.
The lights went down and it was time to get to the next scene. Jadine was ready for a “wuk up” as she took the Active Dancers on a winning lesson. Jadine, the consummate entertainer took this opportunity to show them what the lady from Montserrat had in store.
“Don’t call my phone” is a song which begs you to dance. Jadine has a sure hit on her hands. To watch video visit DancehallSoca.TV.
